Does Callaway Have Heavy Hitting Products Again?

Does Callaway have heavy hitting golf products again?  Since Chip Brewer became Callaway’s CEO in 2012, brought in Tim Reed from Adams as VP Product Strategy, and mentioned to his R&D chief Allan Hocknell that new products are not to leave R&D into manufacturing unless Allan’s blesses them as having world-beater, cutting-edge technology, I’ve been looking forward to Callaway’s ascension once again as a heavy hitter.

We may be there.  With Callaway’s Phil Mickelson inspired Frankenwood and new Big Bertha and Big Bertha Alpha products, they just introduced the company’s most adjustable drivers to date. They use multi-material constructions and two distinct moveable weight systems to offer golfers an unrivaled amount of control over their launch conditions.

Big Bertha driver uses a 5-inch sliding weight track that is positioned around the perimeter of the head to boost its moment of inertia (MOI), a measure of a club’s forgiveness. Cool. Check out GolfWRX review at http://bit.ly/ISYMmr, and Callaway at http://bit.ly/1bkg8OF.

Remember You Have Three Options For Unplayable Lies.

When I encounter an unplayable lie per Rule 28, I don’t always remember I have three options, especially option b, which allows me to drop the golf ball behind the point where the ball lays, keeping that point directly between the hole and the spot on which the ball is dropped, with no limit on how far behind that point the ball may be dropped.  Remembering option b is extremely useful when an unplayable lie is situated in a densely woody area, and dropping a ball within two club-lengths doesn’t help. http://www.usga.org/Rule-Books/Rules-of-Golf/Rule-28/    http://bit.ly/I3wm8L
